OSU freshman basketball player Obi Muonelo did not make the trip to Nashville because he sustained a fractured fibula in his left leg during a Saturday practice. Muonelo had surgery Sunday at Stillwater Medical Center and returned home in time to watch the OSU-Tennessee game on television. Muonelo, OSU's third-leading scorer, said he hurt himself when he slipped on a wet spot in the practice gym and "came down wrong." He said the Cowboys were working on drills to combat Tennessee's press. "Everything happens for a reason," Muonelo said in a Monday telephone interview. "Surgery went great and I'm expecting a full recovery." Muonelo is expected to be out two and a half months. He did not rule out a return this season. "Whenever I get to 100 percent is when I am going to play," he said.

Neenah High School diver Nick Foulks has signed a National Letter of Intent to dive for Indiana University in 2007-08, head diving coach Dr. Jeff Huber announced today. "Nick Foulks already comes in doing a very, very difficult one-meter list," Huber said. "He kind of reminds me a little of (former Hoosier All-American and two-time one-meter NCAA titlist) Mark Lenzi, coming in already with front three-and-a-half, back two-and-a-half, inward two-and-a-half and reverse two-and-a-half, so were really excited." Foulks was an All-American in 2004, 2005 and 2006. He also earned all-conference and all-state honors during each of those years, and has been named his conferences diver of the year three times. He was also named the Post-Crescent's Swimmer/Diver of the Year.
