ACM scholars announced
CUMBERLAND - The Allegany College of Maryland Foundation has announced the awarding of scholarships to 15 students for study in the 2006-07 academic year.* Ben Anderson of Cumberland was awarded a DuRocher-Woodworth Scholarship for Nursing. A nursing major, he has worked at Friends Aware for more than three years. A 1995 graduate of Miami Beach (Fla.) Senior High School who also studied at the University of Florida, he is the son of Aila and Tom Anderson.* Zachary Broadwater of Frostburg received a Chessie Federal Credit Union Scholarship. He is a business administration major. A 2005 graduate of Allegany High School who works at Sheetz in Corriganville, he is the son Brian and Galye Broadwater.* Jonathan Brown of Linden, Va., was presented an ACM Presidential Scholarship. He is a forest technology major.
